Easier said

Sometimes I wonder why are things so easier said than done. Actually its not that hard. It takes the determination from the Spirit and your own decision at that moment to activate the choice. Like for example, guys find it hard to resist porn, and with this mentality, they continue to watch porn because 'it is hard for guys to resist; or all guys face this temptation; or no temptation has seized you except what is common to man." Yeah, but note the last sentence, you will not be tempted beyond what you can bear; God will provide a way out so that you can stand up under it.

For girls, it's so easy to say "I want to wait for the right person God will give me.", but do our actions really portray our declaration? We would sms the 'guy we like now' everyday, and hoping that he will take note of us, and hoping deep deep deep deep down in our hearts (no one can see, except God alone, and sometimes yourself) that he would like us back. Is that telling God "I want to wait?"

To wait means:

1. To remain inactive or in a state of repose, as until something expected happens

2. To be available

3. To postpone or delay something

4. To postpone or delay in expectation

In our context, we should be in a state of repose until God tells us its time. We should remain available for His works since our future is secured anyway. We should postpone or delay our search for Mr.Right. We should postpone or delay in expectation that God has the best in store for us!

I was guilty of the above behaviors, and I am sick and tired of separating my heart to God and Man. You know what? Getting attention from God is a thousand million times better than getting them from Man. Because God is ALWAYS AVAILABLE, yet Man has selected opening hours, and if you happen to approach them earlier, you wait, and isn't that terrible when you really needed someone?

Come on. Surely God knows the desires of your heart. Surely God understands and would give you the desires of your heart. BUT NOT NOW.

If ever in any case you feel yourself vulnerable to attract unnecessary attention from Man, turn to God. If you're taking up your handphone preparing to sms, open your bible. If you are dressing up nicely on Saturday in hope that 'he' will notice you, wear like a dumpling. Do whatever it takes to GYH. You can deceive those around you, but you can never deceive God.
